- I don't Know enough about the internet to keep me busy
So there are about two weeks left until my high school graduation. (In a semi-related bragging note, I will be getting my Associates Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in two days) Anyways I will be attending the University of Texas at Austin next year and will be majoring in Journalism. (My writing is not very good at all yet, I have not started any journalism related classes or training..) Well I’m sure it happens to every senior in high school who will be studying away from home, Austin is a six hour drive from where I live, but it just hit me that my life will completely change over the next couple of months. For Christ’s sake I’ll be qualified to earn $30,000 dollars a year after this weekend and I’m only seventeen. Again more bragging. This summer I should get my first job, along with my driver’s license (I turn 18 two days before my High school graduation). Then in 3 months I will enter the world with a small amount of friends from my current high school, and what other friends my little social skills will allow me to make, hey that’s what college is for right? I honestly have no idea what is going to happen to me over the next years. My social life, love life, the way I will handle myself in tough situations, and how responsible I truly am on my own. I know nothing of my future. i expect to get lost: in class, around the massive campus (I live in a town with a population near 5,000), in possible relationships,or in the metropolis that is the Texas capital. I love it there. It is all a surprise to me and I look forward to what I will make of my life, how I’ll adjust to a new environment, people, and even where I ultimately end up getting a job. It is not going to be easy, I am going to have to work hard, stay focused, and give life all I got. I can not wait to tackle all of life’s challenges that will get thrown at me. I’m ready, and I’m sure I have been raised properly, and the person that I am today will make me a wonderful and successful individual wherever I end up.
